Privacy policy
Last updated: 24 September 2026.
This notice explains how personal information is used when you browse swisseria.com, place an order or contact Swisseria. It covers our store activities and explains your choices and rights. Separate privacy notices apply to independent payment providers and other services you choose to use.
1. Who is responsible for your information
The controller for Swisseria's store activities is Maceo Charpier Courty, trading as Agence Charpier Courty Maceo, at 3 B rue Castérès, 92110 Clichy, France. Swisseria is the customer-facing brand. Contact support@swisseria.com for privacy questions or requests.
We determine how information is used to manage the store, fulfil orders and handle customer service. Shopify hosts the store and supplies commerce technology. Depending on the activity, Shopify and payment providers may also process information for their own purposes under their own privacy notices.
2. Information we collect and its sources
Order and contact information: name, email address, delivery and billing addresses, telephone number where provided, items ordered, order value, delivery information, payment status and refund history. We receive these details when you enter them at checkout or provide them to support, and from services involved in payment and delivery.
Account and support information: account identifiers, correspondence, product questions, complaint details and attachments you choose to provide. We receive this through website forms, email, account features and WhatsApp when you use those channels.
Technical and usage information: information such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, pages viewed, referring links and interactions with the site. This can be generated through Shopify, cookies, pixels and similar technologies, subject to applicable privacy choices and law.
Payment credentials are entered into the payment provider's checkout fields. We receive information needed to manage the transaction, such as payment status and a transaction reference; do not send full card details or security codes to support.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Providing your purchase: we use order, payment-status and delivery details to accept and fulfil orders, communicate about dispatch, and administer returns and refunds. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract and performing the contract.
Legal obligations: we retain and use records where required for accounting, tax, consumer protection, regulatory requests and other applicable legal duties.
Legitimate interests: we use relevant information to answer enquiries, protect the shop against fraud and misuse, maintain security, investigate complaints and establish or defend legal claims. We consider the impact on individuals and do not rely on this basis where their rights override those interests.
Consent: where required, we rely on consent for non-essential cookies, advertising measurement and marketing communications. You can withdraw consent for the relevant activity. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal or processing needed on another valid legal basis.
4. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Cookies and similar technologies support functions such as the basket, checkout, security and preferences. Optional technologies can help measure visits, understand shopping activity and assess advertising performance. Shopify services and Google tag or advertising technology may be involved in these activities.
Where consent is required, optional technologies should be used only with that consent. Use the privacy or cookie controls made available on the site to manage the relevant choices. Browser settings also let you delete or block cookies, although restricting essential cookies may prevent parts of the shop from working correctly.
If you need help locating or changing a privacy choice, contact us. We do not treat a purchase as automatic consent to unrelated marketing. If you receive marketing from us, you can use its unsubscribe option or ask support to stop it; essential order and service messages may still be sent.
5. Who receives information
We share relevant information with service providers where needed for the stated purposes. This includes Shopify for store hosting and commerce functions, payment providers for transactions and refunds, delivery and fulfilment partners for shipment, and providers used for customer communications, security and technical operation. EcomSend provides the promotional sign-up interface displayed on the store and processes information you choose to submit through it.
Google services may receive technical and interaction information in connection with advertising or measurement, subject to applicable privacy choices and legal requirements. If you contact us through WhatsApp, the provider also handles information about that communication under its own terms.
Professional advisers, authorities or other parties may receive information when necessary to meet legal obligations, resolve a dispute, protect legal rights or deal lawfully with a business transfer. We limit disclosure to information relevant to the purpose and use appropriate arrangements where a provider processes data on our behalf.
6. Third-party privacy information
You can read Shopify's privacy policy for its platform processing, Google's privacy policy for its services, and the privacy information provided by the payment option you select at checkout, including PayPal or Klarna.
A map link or other external link takes you to a separate service. Its provider's privacy terms govern your interaction there. Our responsibility for our own use and disclosure of your information is not removed by linking to another provider.
7. International processing
Our business is based in France and serves customers in the United Kingdom. Providers used for commerce, communications, payment and technical infrastructure may process information in other countries, including countries outside the UK or European Economic Area.
Where an international transfer requires safeguards, the applicable mechanism may include an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards, such as European Commission standard contractual clauses and, where required, UK transfer terms. The applicable mechanism depends on the provider and transfer. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.
8. How long information is kept
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purpose for which it is processed, taking account of legal retention duties. Order and accounting records may need to be retained after fulfilment for tax, financial-record, consumer-rights and legal-claim obligations.
Support correspondence is retained according to the nature of the enquiry and the need to resolve or document it. Account information is kept while needed to provide the account and related services. Optional cookie or advertising data follows the relevant technology's retention settings and your choices.
When assessing retention, we consider the data involved, the purpose, applicable legal periods and the risk of keeping it unnecessarily. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed, subject to any lawful requirement to preserve it.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies and the circumstances, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing or a portable copy of data. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests and have a specific right to object to direct marketing.
You can withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Some requests are subject to exceptions, for example where a record must be retained by law. We will explain any limitation rather than treating a request as an automatic deletion of all transaction records.
Send requests to support@swisseria.com. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to confirm your identity and locate the data. We normally respond within one month, subject to any extension allowed by law, and will explain an extension where applicable. Please do not send identity documents unless we ask for an appropriate verification method.
10. Required information and automated checks
Certain details, such as a delivery address and a way to contact you, are needed to fulfil an order. If you do not provide required information, we may be unable to process the purchase or resolve the request. Optional information should only be supplied where relevant.
Payment and commerce providers may use automated fraud, authentication or eligibility checks. Their notices explain their processing. If an order or payment problem appears to result from a check, contact us for help with the store-side decision and the relevant provider for its payment or credit decision. Statutory rights concerning qualifying automated decisions remain available.
11. Security and young visitors
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures appropriate to the information processed and rely on commerce and payment providers for their parts of the service. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed entirely secure. Tell us promptly if you believe information connected with your order or account has been misused.
The store is intended for people able to enter into purchases and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has supplied personal information without appropriate authority, contact us so we can review the circumstances and take appropriate action.
12. Complaints and updates
Contact us first if you would like us to address a privacy concern. You also have the right to complain to a competent supervisory authority. UK customers can contact the Information Commissioner's Office; the French supervisory authority is the CNIL. You do not have to seek our permission to complain.
We may update this notice when our processing or legal obligations change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Where required, we will provide additional notice of a material change.
